Choose The Bed With Care
When you are decorating a bedroom you should pay special attention to the bed that you select. The bed occupies the most floor space in the room. If you have limited space to work with then you should make your choice with care. There are beds that you can choose that will make efficient use of space and not leave the room looking cramped and cluttered. If you are designing a room for small children then you should think about investing in bunk beds. A bunk bed can be defined as two beds that are stacked one on top of the other. This creates two spaces to sleep on but the floor space taken up by the bunk bed is that one single bed. Bunk beds are available in different designs. You should keep your child’s needs in mind when you are choosing the bunk bed for the room.
You look for a bed that has a good amount of space between the lower and upper bunk so that the chid using the lower bunk does not feel claustrophobic. While you are choosing the bunk bed make sure you pay attention to safety. The ladder on the bunk bed for children should have rungs that are not placed too far apart. This way it will not be difficult for your child to climb up to the top bunk. You should try to ensure that the bed has rounded corners so that the chances of injure are reduced. The top bunk should have a safety rail so that there is no chance of your child slipping from the top bunk. You can look at bunk beds that have interesting designs and play with the colour of the bed as well.
If bunk beds are not your thing then you can look at 4ft beds as well. 4ft beds are smaller than double beds. They are sometimes called small doubles as well. The good thing about these beds is that they are less wide and so they leave more space open in the room. These types of beds are great for young adults. They will have more room to sleep but at the same time the bed will not take up all the space in the room. Two young children can share a 4ft bed but you will have to make new arrangements one the children grow bigger and the bed becomes too small.
